When that was done, I could continue on the exterior using a carbide flake disc to (very roughly) remove large amounts of material and then hand chisels, rasps and sanding blocks to get closer to the desired shape.

And slowly the two panels are bought closer to a matching pair.

So that's basically the body of each panel done. But there's more. The side panels have to partially wrap over the top and front, so some more material was added and then shaped.
